Call for Workshop and Tutorials Proposals
The ITSC 2024 conference invites experts and enthusiasts to participate in diverse workshops and tutorials that are integral to the fabric of Intelligent Transportation Systems. These sessions are designed to offer comprehensive, in-depth learning opportunities in the areas of ITS theory, innovation, and practice.
Workshops provide a platform for presenting novel ideas in a less formal and potentially more focused way than the conference itself. They offer a chance to discuss issues, a platform for exploring new research directions, and a place for practitioners to share their expertise on specific facets of ITS.
Tutorials are to deliver insights into established practices and an overview of the state-of-the-art advancements in ITS to researchers, postgraduate students, and industry and government representatives. They are educational in nature and are led by experts in their respective fields, focusing on high-impact and emerging topics within Intelligent Transportation Systems.
For both workshops and tutorials, we seek contributions that cover (but are not limited to) the following themes:
- Theoretical foundations and algorithms for ITS,
- Modelling, simulation, and validation techniques,
- Emerging ITS technologies and applications,
- Results from laboratory or field operational tests,
- Deployment strategies and user acceptance studies.
Proposals for workshops and tutorials should be submitted by June 17, 2024, and must include the following:
- Title and duration (half-day or full-day)
- Names of the organizers and contact person
- Aim of the workshop/tutorials and intended audience
- Expected participation
- An outline of the workshop/tutorial focus, emphasizing its relevance and significance within the ITS community
- The format and proposed schedule of the session
- Information about the presenters/organizers, including their bios, expertise, and contributions to the field
- Equipment required or expected for attendees to bring
- If applicable, a preliminary list of topics and speakers/papers.
Selection and review process include the following criteria:
- Relevance to the main conference theme
- Timeliness and expected interest in the topic
- Quality and diversity of the proposed program
- Experience and background of the proposers
- Audience engagement methods
- Long-Term Impact to the ITS community
